Our Simple Shipping Process (It's Freight, Not Mail!)

We specialize in moving heavy, specialized cargo—shipping containers—so our shipping process is a little different than typical e-commerce. We work hard to make delivery as simple as possible for you.

What to Expect with Delivery

• Shipping Type is Freight: All container deliveries are sent via oversized freight (LTL, or Less-than-Truckload). We use professional freight carriers to deliver directly to your specified address.

• Curbside Delivery Only: All deliveries are curbside. This means the driver will deliver the container to the edge of your property that is accessible to the road. The driver is not responsible for moving the container onto your property, placement, or site preparation. You must ensure the delivery location has adequate truck access for the large size of the vehicle and container.

• Delivery Windows: We do not offer specific time slots. When your container is ready, the carrier will contact you (or your designated contact) at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a delivery day.

• Inspection is Crucial: You, or an authorized representative, must be present to inspect the container upon arrival. If you notice significant damage (beyond normal wear for a used container), you must note it on the driver’s Bill of Lading (BOL) before the driver leaves.

Shipment & Tracking Notification (CRITICAL!)

• Tracking Information: You will receive your official shipment tracking information via email once your container has been dispatched from the depot and picked up by the logistics company.

• Dual Notification: Expect two primary emails: one from ContainersPlusInc.com confirming shipment, and a second, more detailed notification directly from the freight carrier containing the tracking number and contact information for scheduling the drop-off.

• Stay Informed: Your tracking link will allow you to monitor the status of your oversized freight until it reaches the local delivery terminal.

Shipping Costs and Lead Times

• Shipping costs are calculated based on the distance from the nearest available depot to your delivery address. You will see the final cost calculated at checkout.

• Lead times vary based on availability and distance. On average, you can expect delivery within 7 to 14 business days after your order is confirmed.
